It's an overcast morning but very close and warm and because there is no breeze it's extremely muggy. Thunderstorms are forecast to pass through today and they will certainly be welcome. We have been working on the Peat Moss which was on the fast side of good this morning but it is better ground than most racecourses would have at present. The other lots have stayed on the polytracks closer to home. We've still one non-runner and a holiday absentee, but everybody is working really well.

Stellekaya after her pipe opener yesterday

Four Fifty Three looks as if he wants a mile and will be much better off when we get into handicaps with him. He won the best turned out which is always good for the lads and he was not given a hard time by Joey.

We have one runner this afternoon, again at Chelmsford. Stellekaya runs at 4.05 in the mile and a quarter Fillies Maiden. She was a good way behind on her debut at Windsor and she is taking on one or two reasonable horses once again today. The experience will bring her on and I'm sure the handicap route will be her scene.
